If God suddenly decreed you could have one lens, and ONLY one (prime or zoom - doesn't matter) ... which lens would it be?

Peter, I've had two bad deals on used cameras ... one from Adorama - a smelly D90 ... I had to return after a month ...

The second was a K-3 (also smelly) I had to return to B&H after a month ....

Because of these experiences, I've been soured on these "deals" - too good to be true - advertised on the Net ... enough, already!

Fair enough. Perhaps I understand better what you mean by 'smelly' a bit now given our prior conversation. We've had some very good experiences with both Amazon and ebay. A few things to return, but that all worked out well.

Peter, the K-3 smelled like it had been trapped in a box in the trunk of a car laying at the bottom of a pond for a year ...

The D90 smelled as though it had been sitting underneath a john for a very long time .....

I don't need trash like that in my house ....

Damned if I'm ever going to buy anything used again ... t'ain't worth it ... whatever the savings are !!!!

eBay Chris. eBay is not amazon, what is advertised is what you are getting.

You are a competent young man, if you wish to purchase from someone in the USA, you have the freedom to do it.

I agree, I've bought quite a bit of camera stuff on ebay and never been burned. The stuff has always been what the seller said was in item and condition.

Just an afterthought ... if you don't believe in a higher being - it's no matter ... it's a hypothetical question, anyway ... just curious to see the answers ...

Another possibility for~the 'only' one case scenario!:> Best regards, 'CyberDave'

That lens looks more like a 70-200 f/2.8 :-) still a great lens. ;-) no doubt more versatile than an 800.

I wasn't sure, Waegwan ... which is why I put the question mark after the 800 ....

I'd no idea a 70-200 was quite so big, though ... are you sure?

Perhaps, it's something in between ....

I think it just looks big due to the angle of the photo.
It looks a lot like this one:

Oh, great, Waegwan .... a half-a-dozen links, with which, if I followed through - would kill my fragile dial-up Net Connection all the way thru Christmas! Thanks!
