Lincoln Memorial - just after opening in the morning of 3/20/2011. The few tourists entering saw what I was doing and kept of the way for the few minutes I needed.
Nikon D300, don't know what lens I used but shot at 22mm.
Used the Nodal Ninja NN5 panorama head.
9 images stitched with PTGui.
JPEG, no PP. Shot at F8, 1/250 of sec, ISO 1000. .
My practice is to use F8, focus on infinity, meter for the darkest and lightest areas then find a middle ground for the shutter speed.
I would have never considered a panorama in a place like this. It is better than I would have ever imagined. Adding the columns on each side gives scale to the overall area. I like it.

This is impressive! The columns on either side and the beautifully exposed main section is very dramatic.

Good shot. I like that the columns are plumbed true. I would tone down the base and lighten up Lincoln. My eye goes to the base though it should go to Lincoln. Also, less foreground and more height behind. Probably too late for that. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, too late for the height. I could have cropped the bottom but that would have diminished the expanse of the hall. I'll take a look at your tone down and lighten suggestion - thanks.

I kick myself on the things I should have seen. I understand. What if you were to copy the tops a bit further up?

If you are saying what I think you are - what you see is the top of the images I made; I have nothing above that
