IF the release is transferable (look to the language of the specific release) then maybe you could try Snitchers Desk, supposedly they do this sort of thing so they are aptly named. If your ownership of image and release is clear i suppose it is your property and as such you can do as you like with it, however I personally think that just because something is not 'against the law' doesn't make it the right thing to do. contacting the celebrity is probably the best thing to do.
Trashing it would not be a bad thing either IMHO

I have acquired the original b&w negative. The (female) subject is now a movie star. The photo, a nude, was made in 1985 when the woman turned 19. (Well before she became famous). Along with the negative, I also now own the model release and copyright and any other rights.

I would like to make some bucks, but this situation is new to me.

- Limited edition prints?
- Screen image onto T-shirts?
- License image for posters?

I’d appreciate suggestions, and pointers to useful articles and sites.

Note: I do not expect opposition nor cooperation from the celebrity.

So, in spite of all of the acknowledgements of sexual harassment in the news the last few weeks you have reinforced that nothing has really changed. Thanks for r minding me. Though this is not out right harassment as you came by these photos legally and with rights attached. However, ethics is above the law. Why do you need to exploit the all knowing experience of a 19 year old who was probably coerced in the first place. Find a more ethical way to make money. Since it is pretty dumb to post such a question publicly I am guessing that you are really merely looking for reaction, not real advice. Silly me for feeding your appetite

Disregarding the intent of the OP, I do find some of the postings troublesome. When the term "nude" comes into conversation, a holier-than-thou position is taken by some. We do not know what the photograph depicts, other than by assumption. The photograph is still a case-by-case situation. Maybe the OP's ends are questionable, and there are issues that have to be addressed. But leave the "nudity" out.

How does one go "veiling" the naked bodies of art anyway?

Situational ethics & rationalization - right is always right and this money making scheme is wrong by all definitions

There are way more decent ways to make money in photography, than to troll on some unsuspecting celebrity.
If you go ahead with your idea, I hope she gets everything you own!

This is touchy...but if you really really want to sell the legal photo why not contact Playboy.
