You shouldn't be asking for tips on shooting from trains you should be giving them. Superb work

Thank you so much for the compliment boberic. I really appreciate it. The tips from the original post really helped me capture these. I will post some additional images soon.

Two years ago I asked for advice on how to take photos from trains during our upcoming trip to Switzerland (
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-317221-1.html). My best advice is to try and take slower locals with windows that open or to stand in the very back of the last car. I did this as well as used many of the suggestions of fellow Hoggers to get the images posted. All were taken with a Nikon D7200 and either a Nikon 18-300 3.5-5.6 or a Tokina 12-28. Enjoy!

I'm so glad that I didn't miss seeing these photos. Thank you.
Just goes to show....it's worth getting some advice. If def. worked out for you. Nice photos.

Really good, Srfmhg! A great record of your trip.
Great advice for shooting from a train. Superb shots.
Outstanding series of Switzerland, Europe's Alaska. The train must be the famous "Zahnradbahn" The sprocket train.
Love them all, but especially the second one. Reminds me of something.... OH! My Avatar. LOL. ;-)
