Can't Get Enough...
This is the second large pumpkin these chubby little guys finished off!! Every year I cut a hole on the side of the pumpkins after Thanksgiving, for them to get the seeds, but this year, they beat me to it and chewed off most of the pumpkin to get inside!! There are four of these chubby, furry critters in my yard and I love watching them from inside the sun-room... and so do my three cats!!
Taken with my Canon sx50.
Hope you enjoy!!
Even though there's water inside...

added some branches next to the peanut bin which made for a nice landing spot for the jays!

That's really funny! I can't imagine climbing inside a pumpkin but your squirrels certainly seem to think it's cool!

Carol, I'm wondering if they know something we don't about the weather this winter... they all eat like there's no tomorrow and like I said, they ate through both pumpkins and nothing was wasted!! lol...
Glad you enjoyed this set, watching them is just so funny... and then the four of them chase each other around!!

sundar, the four of them are just so comical... they love to eat and play!! I'm fortunate to have a room with lots of windows to spy on them and capture the fun without them noticing!
Glad you enjoyed and always appreciate your visits and comments!!
Fun shots. Squirrels are constant fun and watchable creatures.

Angela, you keep doing it to me. These are great photos and the way they tore up the pumpkin is something I need to remember for next year. I have not had one for years because Brenda does not want one around the house. Next year I will get a couple just for the squirrels. The Blue Jay is fantastic. It is one of the birds I never get a photo of. This one is great.
Greg
Very cute. The squirrels here see no reason to wait until I've harvested my pumpkin crop, and begin helping themselves almost as soon as the pumpkins begin to show any orange. This does not endear them to me!!!
What a fun series, Angela, and very well photographed. They are so fun to watch, aren't they?
Great shots Angela! Must be fun watching them from the warmth of you sun room. Let's hope they're not gearing up for a harsh winter. It's coming all to quickly.
Wonderful series, Angela.
