With the rim lighting on the rocks and the tangled bifurcation of the tree branches along with the colors have made this a great photo for my viewing pleasure.

Glad you enjoyed, SoHillGuy. It's up for editing in the PP section if you're interested.

The wonderful thing about autumn is that it gives you the chance to ramp up the colours more than you might normally do. In fact this whole edit is generally more extreme than my usual.

That one's a beauty RG. I wish I could have seen it in fall color, regardless of whether it was this brilliant or not. The orange tree and its reflection are a breath-taking focal point, with the water subtly conveying movement around and past it. Great composition and beautiful detail in the trees. Well done.

Thank you minniev. This spot is only a couple of miles from Killin, but it took a bit of finding and required a climb down a steep bank to get there. I was surprised at how it came out after processing, because in reality the colours were subdued and the background was every bit as hazy as it looks in the original :-

I think the rim lighting on the rocks add a lot to this lovely photo. The color is also very nice. Taking a walk on the somewhat wild side worked well for you in this photo. I like it very much.

Thank you Erich. One of the advantages of using exposure bracketing is that it gives you the confidence to shoot towards strong light. In this situation where the foreground is significantly dark, the camera will ramp up the exposure because it will meter the dark areas in the scene, and with a single exposure you could easily end up with blown highlights, but with bracketing you have a safety net.

I like the result. This could be a very busy scene but it is calm in this composition. I can detect the ramping up of colors but that is the style today. And you did not overdo it. There is dare I say it, drab space between the colors, this is all important as it contributes to balance.

I experience this scene as a calm and peaceful yet my eye is drawn in and bouncing around looking at splashes of color and those fabulous reflections.
