The wonderful thing about autumn is that it gives you the chance to ramp up the colours more than you might normally do. In fact this whole edit is generally more extreme than my usual.

I like the sharp green lines on top of the rocks on the left.

Breathtaking, R.G.! I particularly like all the frothy white swirls in the water.

Thank you for commenting, Frank. It was fun while it lasted. Now I'll have to wait till next autumn before letting myself off the leash again .

Thanks for commenting, 10MPlayer. What's probably not obvious is that I was shooting towards the sun (which was quite high in the sky), so the rocks are actually back-lit. The down side is that the purple haze in the background was too extreme to get rid of completely so I had to settle for a partial mitigation.

Thank you Linda. That's one of the advantages of staying with a faster shutter speed. Sometimes those details are worth hanging on to.

Undoubtedly one of your best. You've got movement in the water without resulting to milkiness, nice reflections and a good indication of depth in the frame. Some nice contrast and a little backlight complete an excellent composition.

Thank you JN. I'll be posting the original over in the PP section if you fancy having a go yourself.

Wonderful sense of depth overall, and of detail in the water currents effects on the water's surface. Yes, autumns colours make for lovely images.

Thank you AzPicLady. I suppose reality doesn't always show its full potential, so it's up to us to find it and reveal it.
