I'll repeat it here. I have a problem with accusations made beyond the statute of limitations when the accused loses his Constitutional right to confront his accuser. It's easy to make accusations in the press, true or not, when the accuser cannot be questioned about the veracity of the accusation. The Duke lacrosse rape case is an excellent example. This case DID go to court and eventually the accuser was found to have fabricated the story. In the meantime, however, the lives of the young men who were accused, charged, dismissed from the team, etc., were ruined. Are there any false accusers among the many accusations that have been made against all the men accused? How are we to judge between truth and falsehood? All we know is what the women say. For the most part we must believe the preponderance of the evidence, but again, that's one difference between the court of public opinion and a court of law. In a court of law the trial continues after the prosecution has presented its case.

Roy Moore? Yeah, he's probably guilty as sin, but the timing of these accusations strikes me as strangely curious.

As far as defending a pedophile.....well.....I'm just pointing up some problems. How is that defending a pedophile? However, as I recall, according to our Constitution, even pedophiles are allowed a legal defense.

The first question that I would ask any of them is why they didn't report it to the police or the d.a. when it could have been prosecuted. They had years to do so. Did they not remember during THOSE years? There was also a period of time in which they could file civil suits.

Remember, except in the case of Weinstein and Cosby (excuse me if I missed somebody), we're not talking rape here. Not to excuse or downplay it, but getting grabbed is not anywhere near getting raped, but it's still sexual assault. So, let's not paint everybody with the same brush as Weinstein. He was a true predator who was enabled by the women who didn't report him.

A perent can convince a child (even it the "child" is 35 or more) thatr she was molested. If an uncle kissed her when she didn't want it. As many young children don't. The parent can convince the kic that the uncle is a pervert. My grandfather assaulted me when I was 9. Over 60+ years ago. He spanked me. I could now swear out a warrant to that effect. My father also assaulted me, my mother also. People's lives have been ruined by alleged claims.

Romans 12:19 says in part "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord. This is the verse in which God urges Christians not to take vengeance for wrongs done to them. It is the promise that the wrongdoers will receive justice from God Himself.

Whether or not sexual predators are caught and punished in this life, believe me, God will exact justice upon them.
