yes, the colder air is much kinder on my aged body than hot weather. i have no trouble dressing for very cold temps. also, less people around with cameras in my photographic area, so that is a great help, also.
See, now ... I have more problems when the weather gets colder ... everything kinks up - you know, WJ?
In the warmer weather, I seem to move better ... but, also ... I have central air ... I guess that helps ...
But, outside, even ... I mean ... as long as it isn't 105 degrees ... THEN - I have problems ...
Of course - that doesn't happen often ... where I am ... thank my lucky stars!!!!!

You can actually surf, can you, on Lake Tahoe, Dyxi?
I'd not realized it was quite that big ....
So, whereabouts in No. Ca. - are you, exactly, Dyxi?

Have to admit I shoot more in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The winters here can be pretty brutal, but I always have to get one decent shot to put on my holiday card.
That's neat, Alan ... thanks for sharing ....
Hey, Hon ... what's for breakfast? .... Snow!!! .... Oh, okay ....
Tell me, Hassig ... by "Southern California" - do you mean just LA, or San Diego ... or somewhere in-between?
Corona is about 50 miles south of LA, 30 miles east of Anaheim (Disneyland). LA is in LA county, Anaheim in Orange Co. I'm in Riverside Co. California is the third largest state, just behind Texas. Area is 163,696 sq. miles.

Ah, Corona ... so, that's like Greater LA, then ... no?
I've been to Riverside ... was at a motel, there .... c. 1972

I now understand, I see you are from across the pond, and may have never Hurd of this place, and that you can not actually surf (as we know it) on a lake. And what I meant by so so surf is our ocean waves by and large accept for the phenomenon at the mavericks are nothing special like those in Hawaii.

Dyxi ... regardless of where I'm from .... we seem to be getting further and further into the mire, here - don't we?
What ON EARTH does THIS mean?
"what I meant by so so surf is our ocean waves by and large accept for the phenomenon at the mavericks" ?????
Is this a reference to that old James Garner western on "your American" TV, or what?

Mavericks is a spot near Half Moon Bay south of San Fransisco that has rather large waves, if you don't mind the 55 degree water and great white sharks. :)
