Beautiful photo. The use of selective color makes for such a dramatic final product. Those who don't appreciate it are forever lost in mediocrity.

The contrast is so striking, it is what made that one scene in a movie filled with striking images so enduring. Nicely done, sir!

As usual, great image. How did yo get the wind to be just right for the scarf to be furled straight out?

And I thank you once again plessner. You have caught the essence of what I was trying to do with that image.

Why not? After that, group photos of ladies in the red hat society. He could have his camera painted red and call himself "Red Harder Photography - Reddy When You Are."

Wow Jerry! You really are taking the ball and running with it! Have you ever considered stand up comedy?!??!!? lol

Flyerace, I like your attitude! Ever since I joined UHH I have been trying to influence other photographers (especially the ones that shoot birds and flowers) to think outside of the box and be creative. Most (but not all) of those photographers shoot mediocre photos. A long time ago I started a thread called "NOT your typical flower photos" and it is still going on today with creative photos using a flower as a base. It's great what the people that have taken that thread are doing with it. Very creative!

Thank you Einreb92 for saying "nicely done, sir" to me! I appreciate it. Now that we are in the digital age, we are only restricted by our own imagination or lack of it.

Thanks lwiley for saying "great image" about this one. To answer your question about the scarf: I shot a bunch of photos as the wind blew the scarf and had to toss out most of them. If you shoot enough you will get a good one or two. I had my camera on what I call "machine gun mode" and every time the wind picked up I started shooting away! Since you really don't know what the wind will do with the scarf, you almost have to do it that way. Just play the odds that 1 in 10 may come out ok.
