I wonder if it's really a shack and not a walk-in for horses to use in bad weather. What makes me wonder that is the fact that there's no sign of a chimney. I would expect a chimney in a place that was meant to be occupied by humans. Just saying...

Other end of the pasture making manure! Thanks mt, not much by todays bungalow standards, just a roof over your head and a window to enjoy the scenery.

No, not with windows, separate rooms and the chinking in the wall slats...they would not have done that for stock. Probably never had a chimney, just a sheepherder stove. And, probably just a line shack for short stays when moving stock. Thanks for looking and the interesting takes though.

Great composition. Old buildings have a character of their own. Would love to hear the stories that this old cabin could tell. Mahalo for sharing.

Thanks JoAnne, I appreciate your compliment and comments. I'm sure some great times were had there but the walls are silent...we'll have to use are imagination!
