No, it's a good utility if you have two photos of the same person, both facing the same direction but otherwise many who have reviewed it don't seem to think it works all that great. I can't speak from my personal experience, since I only have vs.15, but I've read several reviews and they all seem to agree 18 isn't worth the upgrade, IF you have 15.

Papa Joe,

Do you intend to mean that the eye blinky thing does not have great value?

It depends how much you use it and the new features. For me, I upgraded to the new one. One of the features I like is the new one to correct the eyes, especially those who shut them right before you snap a photo.....it is a simple one step push the bottom with out all the aligning...Although I have LR, PS, and many others, I prefer PE because it is simpler to use; thus, I use it significantly more than the others....LR/PS are good especially for the professionals. So choices are often dependent on life style and sometimes the learning curve, which means if its too steep there is a tendency to ignore and not use it.
