I invested in the Sony auto focus adapter for Minolta lenses which works adequately, but it seems there is a bit of light loss, due to the mirror, that the light has to pass through. Consequently, a higher ISO is required, than with a DSLR. Something to keep in mind for anyone thinking about the quite pricey adapter.
Janos, Thank you much, Yes I have a Minolta auto focus adaptor, LA4 or something like that, I don't shoot it much because most my Minolta lenses are manual focus, however, if I shoot say a AF Minolta 50mm f/1.7 prime I don't have to change much, it's the longer lenses that I have to look out for, but I shoot in RAW and in manual mode about 100% of the time.
