Well done Johnny !

Minolta has excellent line of lenses.
MD or MC, their line of line of lenses are top performers.
Now with the advent of mirrorless bodies, these are excellent choices.
Your results are a proof.

Johnny, nice set of pictures produced by you using the Minolta MC 58MM lens. Your Post is encouraging me to dust off my Minolta 58MM lens and give it a good test. Thanks for sharing. Tejaswrangler

Yep, your 100% right, Of all the one's he tested the only one I like is the 50mm f/1.7 that is a awesome lens, and the Minolta MD 50mm 1.4 is just a tad better. The IQ is amazing from the lenses, Along with Minolta colors

You have some great images here. I invested in the Sony auto focus adapter for Minolta lenses which works adequately, but it seems there is a bit of light loss, due to the mirror, that the light has to pass through. Consequently, a higher ISO is required, than with a DSLR. Something to keep in mind for anyone thinking about the quite pricey adapter.

Janos, Thank you much, Yes I have a Minolta auto focus adaptor, LA4 or something like that, I don't shoot it much because most my Minolta lenses are manual focus, however, if I shoot say a AF Minolta 50mm f/1.7 prime I don't have to change much, it's the longer lenses that I have to look out for, but I shoot in RAW and in manual mode about 100% of the time.

I told Angela I would post some of these, were shot with a vintage MC Minolta 58mm f/1.4 mounted on a Sony A7rII full frame camera, I shot all shots @f/2 because her Helios 44-2 is a 58mm f/2.

It was overcast the day I shot these, but it don't matter to me weather it's rain, clouds, sun or snow, well maybe not the rain.

Give me a prime lens from 45-85mm and I'll have more fun than aloud to have.

You will enjoy them more if you use the downloads if you wish!!!!

Thanks for looking!!!!
