Somehow, I missed these, Diane! They're absolutely stunning shots!

Thanks a bunch! As I shared with you in PM, I knew we would have a rough start with the weather, so I was quite happy with some of the misty images along the Snake River. And the old barns are always interesting in their persistence at defying gravity. None the less, the picture taking improved each day as we had more and more hours of sunshine. I've gotten through most of Grand Teton now with the 5th post and will start on Yellowstone next. Glad to have you come share!!

Thanks, Sirius_one! As much as I appreciated eventually getting some clear skies to work with, these misty images are very soothing to view. In addition to those you specified, #8 was for me another pretty scene to gaze at with the patch of light hitting the autumn leaves while the evergreens were shrouded in fog. I may have to rethink my aversion to heavy skies.

Thanks so much, Lee! Where in WA state are you? I have visited there a few times and am considering going back next year, probably to the coast and Vancouver Island. Went through the Palouse several years ago and loved the trip. Anyway, I appreciate your dropping in to take a closer look at these images and hope you catch some of the others in this series if you enjoy the parks.

I live near Seattle but we lake camping and traveling the back roads in the mountains and parts of eastern Washington. It is a beautiful state whether you get off the beaten track or not. Always welcome to give some ideas, if I'm familiar with where you are going.

Thanks, Lee. If I can pull the trip together, I will touch base with you for routing ideas.

Glad to have you drop in for a closer look, Namwife! Barns were a recurring theme throughout this trip, especially in Parts 2, 3, & 5--and will be in the final post. The unstable weather we encountered at the beginning of the trip was a mixed bag that either provided favorable soft filtered light or unfavorable heavy skies...when we left Swan Valley to travel down the Snake River along the Palisades Reservoir (the 4th image) we were blessed with the former.
