Travel Images from Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Etc.: Part 1--Around Swan Valley, ID
At the last minute before our flight, I switched lodgings around so that we would be in the Swan Valley area the first two nights. Since the weather forecast was for rain mixed with snow, I wanted to save the best weather for when we were in Grand Tetons NP, so any glimpses of orange and red autumn colors were a special treat under these gloomy skies. This set of images depicts the area from Hoback Junction, WY, up the Snake River and past the Palisades Reservoir to Swan Valley. I especially wanted to be in Swan Valley to photograph the Fall Creek Falls but, once there, the precipice felt a bit unnerving in light of my recent mishaps and in light of the frost on the damp ground--so there wasn't much experimentation with the composition on my part with that photo op! The final image is the old barn at Hansen Guest Ranch which has been renovated into charming bedrooms with a gathering area in the old loft.

Every shot is a winner. Beautiful compositions!
Fabulous set of images Diane. All of these are exquisitely beautiful, but given my love of waterfalls, I have picked #3 as favorite here.
Awesome set. All these images are well composed and the exposure and focus are spot on.
I like the variety of images in this set....very well taken.
