Terrific camera. I use one, alongside my more expensive D500 and D750. In most picture taking, the images from the D7100 are as good or better than those from my other cameras. I regard the others as specialized cameras, with D7100 being my workhorse.

You have a great camera! Your relative is extremely generous. I do have a D7100 and been using it for several years and have never been disappointed with its results. It currently is my backup camera to a D810. My granddaughter also uses it for school projects. Get some books on the camera and read them. You just can't go wrong. Go out and take lots of photos and enjoy.
