This was taken last week with my very close friend. She is in the middle of a divorce right now and it is a tough time. I think subconsciously I ended up creating an image for her that could be interpreted as "Letting Go". I might not be done with this image. Sometimes I sleep on it and wake up not loving something I created the day before. But I thought I would post it anyway.
Thanks for looking!

After reading your explanation, while the imagine is lovely... I think she should be looking forward... it is just a thought.

I like everything about this. Capturing her looking back adds to the story very effectively I believe.

I have always been a huge fan of your work and I really like this one.

I'll tell you what I see here. A woman moving forward but with regrets about what's left behind. I'd see that even without your explanation.

When I saw this photo in the "newest pictures" section I thought to myself "that looks like Alissa's work, and sure enough it was. That reinforces to me that you have your own particular style and it shows. Excellent photo and PP work as usual Alissa! You keep getting better all the time!

I like what you've done, but don't care much for the brown balloon, maybe a light pastel blue or red or even a yellow. A color that a boy might select for a girl.

Interesting picture, but I agree with Watcher's balloon comment. My first thought on seeing the image was that the balloon should be an attractive, inviting color.

I like the 'sense' of the image. Striding forward and glancing back at what was released, the balloon of woes. Nice evocative work.
