Hi nimbusshopper,
Thank you for checking out the pics of my little friend. I agree, I too like frame 3 too. I wish I would have taken more head shots, but she lives next door so I can always have a do-over.
Thank you so much.

Robert, you are absolutely correct, however on this day it was very controlled. Last Sunday I had am opportunity to photograph my next door girlfriend while at her grandparent's home overlooking the Pond Orialle River and adjacent to a privet spear line in northeastern Washington State.
PLEASE NOTE: There were no commercial trains on this track, but rather a fun train sponsored by the Lions Club as a fund raiser. The 2 engines hooked onto some vintage rail cars, load up with a bunch of kids and some adults, and then roared down the track at the nose bleed speed of about 5 MPH. I can absolutely assure you this was safer than crossing any city street in the United States.

Hi "I STOP TO SHOOT",
Do you realize how dangerous stopping and taking pictures can be; far more dangerous than on this railroad tracks. (I'm just kidding) Thank you so much for you comments. My little girlfriend is a lot of fun to be in my life, and I believe she helps keep me young.
Thank you for your comment.

Is it an active, regularly used train track?
If so, shooting on the tracks can be extremely dangerous.

Hi sailorsmom,
She is a lot of fun to be around. She loves her picture taken, and I am more than happy to accommodate. For being only 4 years old, she now in her second year of Spanish, learning Chinese at Gonzaga University, goes to a dance class and is learning piano.
Thank you for your comments.

Hi Raymond,
By the time gets married, she will probably have tens of thousands of pics to weed through. In 4 years, I've taken around 2000 pics, and her mother has at least twice as many. She is a well photographed kid.
Thank you for checking in and your comments.

Hi tainkc,
I would never put anyone, especially a child, in a situation where they could be in danger, just to get a picture. Ordinarily, walking the rails is not a good practice, but this was completely safe and controlled situation. I don't mind people posting negative comments, but I would prefer they limit their critique to my posted photographs.
Thank you.

It just seems that there is always some one out there who feels the need to ruin a good time. They need to be called out. It is obvious to any viewer that this child was not in any danger. And yes, this is a very nice series. I was about to say so, but this guy immediately got under my skin and pretty much ruined it for me. Oh, well.

Thank you tainkc, but as I get older the thicker my skin for those people trying to impugn my character. I generally tell myself, it takes all kinds to make the world go around. However, if I really expressed my true feelings, I would be for ever banned for from enjoying the excellent work of some of the most gracious and wonderful UHH photographers. Their diverse expressions of photographic work means a lot to me even if I don't comment on everything. I love their work.
Thank you so much for coming to my rescue. Please go out and take some pics, it's good for ones sole.
