Last Sunday I had am opportunity to photograph my next door girlfriend while at her grandparent's home overlooking the Pond Orialle River and adjacent to a privet spear line in northeastern Washington State.
PLEASE NOTE: There were no commercial trains on this track, but rather a fun train sponsored by the Lions Club as a fund raiser. The 2 engines hooked onto some vintage rail cars, load up with a bunch of kids and some adults, and then roared down the track at the nose bleed speed of about 5 MPH. I can absolutely assure you this was safer than crossing any city street in the United States.
Cute kid. It must of been a thrill for her.
Gary, these may be the "best ever" shots of her! She is so cute and such a ham! Her outfit is precious, too. I know she must be totally spoiled but it doesn't seem to affect her sunny disposition in any way!

Hi vonzip,
She is only 4 years old, and wild beyond her years. I believe she helps keep me young. She will probably be over later today to see if I can come out an ply.
Thank you for your comment.

Carol, I took 335 pics of her last Sunday. She is only 4 years old and a big ham, but the best shots over the years were taken when she is just doing her thing. This photo shoot was planned for some time, and except for her rial road hat everything came yard sales; in fact, all of her outfits are either from yard sales or Craig's List.
Thank you so much.
Gary
All great, but #3 is my favorite!
Is it an active, regularly used train track?
If so, shooting on the tracks can be extremely dangerous.

Thanks, Dennis. I looked at the lovely photos, but had NOT yet read the post!
In Canada, it is illegal (trespassing) to go on active train tracks-
too many people killed.
