As Larry Elder would say it is easy to blame the Hairy hand of the White man. Those that earn their living preaching to Black Youth that they can never succeed because of the racist white man should be lined up in front of an all black firing squad. Failure is not a black thing, failure has no color, failure belongs to all. For the most part Baby Boomers of all colors had a secure family structure with a father working to support the family and a stay home mother to support the home and family. Black crime was on par with white crime and at that young age I did not feel threatened walking in what I jokingly called the Black Forest. I went away to serve my country and after serving 8 years I returned to a City that was different and in continued change. I used to blame that change on intergration but I think was mistaken, I believe it occurred because the break up of the family structure in lower income homes.
