Ugh is right. With each passing year I have less and less tolerance for the heat and humidity.
I heard hummers nearby when I was shooting these. I have about six (who can do an accurate count of those speedsters) that have been hanging around my feeders for a few weeks and they do make a lot of flights over the wall this vine grows behind. Gotta keep my eye on this area!

I made sure to get the leaf in the pic because it is so distinctive. I have been very slow to embrace smartphone technology but since I recently sprang for the no-limits plan I guess I should step up my game. Thanks - I'll check out Garden Answers!

Thanks for taking the time to look and for your nice comment, CathyAnn. I've read that the vine can be invasive (geesh, invasive plants are the only things that thrive in my yard), but easier than most to control since the leaf is so distinctive you can pull it up as soon as it rears its ugly little head. But, I think it is so pretty I'll probably let it cover a lot of fencerow if it so desires!
