CHOLLY Loc: THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE!

Lordy you guys are denser that I thought possible.

CHOLLY, everything you babble has to do with events once light enters your eyeball's pupil. This has nothing to do with that... the lag to which I refer is between the moment the action occurs in the world and the instant that image is projected through the viewfinder into the pupil in your eye (after which time what you describe happens either way).

There is a tiny but still noticeable lag in an EVF between those two moments, as compared to zero lag when reflected photons from that subject are directed into your eye via an OVF. It's really not that hard to conceive- but you obviously miss the point as you keep ranting about what occurs AFTER the image is projected into the eyeball.

I cannot make this any simpler, so now truly give up.

The problem BOB, is the fact that YOU don't seem to understand THAT IT DOESN'T MATTER what happens before the image is collected by your eyeball. THAT IMAGE IS LITERALLY IS IMMATERIAL UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY PERCEIVE IT... and that perception, HAPPENS SLOWER THAN THE TIME IT TAKES MODERN EVF'S TO PROJECT THE IMAGE.

In OTHER WORDS; yes, the image has to be processed by the sensor, image processor, and EVF before it can be projected to your eyeball, whereas with an OVF it just bounces off a mirror. What YOU don't understand is that the amount of time it takes for modern EVF's to go through all that is LITERALLY FASTER THAN YOU CAN PERCEIVE IT...

THAT'S A FACT.

Not sure why I got called out in his latest rant. However what’s probably happening is that his EVF is seeing things faster than his 45+ year old photographer eyes and he’s just getting confused.

That said I still wonder if he bumped it up to the 100fps mode and actually tested it.

Good point AND question Clint.

James,
Are you saying that you don't miss the 7-10 days of anticipation waiting for Kodak to return your Kodachromes? What about the excitement of opening that yellow box and finding you have more keepers than discards?
I take many fewer digital pictures to get one keeper than I did with Kodachrome 25. With film I would take several variations because I could never be positive that I would get what I expected.
