For the most part yes. Some look exactly like the males, some don't look at all like the males and some males and females change quite a bit from the time they emerge from the water. Some males and females become pruinose as they mature. Pruinosity is a white coloring that you might see on grapes or plums. Your "pink" Roseate Skimmer was actually red when he emerged. You can see the difference in your male and female Roseate Skimmers.
