Sherry, about the trumpet creeper...it that is indeed what it is, be sure to keep an eye on it unless you want your entire yard taken over by trumpet creepers. Hummingbirds love the blooms, but it multiplies by suckers that come up everywhere and can be a pain to pull out of the soil. Vic thought it would be nice to let one grow up a pine. It's now at the top of several pines, and I'm forever having to pull them from the lawn and beds.

I'll have to get some more photos of the stuff for analysis! It's been here since we have (27 years) and 'tho it climbs the fence in several places it hasn't taken over the yard -- yet.

Well then it surely won't misbehave after being good for 27 years!

Beautiful shots, Sherry! I love all of the pretty colors and details, especially in the downloads. You're right about the honeysuckle. It sure does bring back memories of childhood, tasting the "honey" of the flowers! All nicely done.

Thanks, Angela! You're too kind. Did some more shooting around the yard today. It is soooooo nice to be having such cooler temperatures and low humidity; I actually did some yardwork today, too, without breaking a sweat!

My kind of weather!!

Perhaps this breezy day wasn't the best time to go outside to shoot close-ups, but I did anyway.

Beautiful shots on a windy day sherry...i would love to have a beauty berry tree.

Thank you, merry! It was very windy but I couldn't let the opportunity go to waste. Just came in from shooting more and am hoping for some beauts, 'cause they were certainly beautiful in the flesh! Also, I hope the beautybush survives the power company's visit. The tree cutters are working the Mobile area now and if I don't catch them out there, they will just spray away, killing everything as this fencerow runs beneath the power lines.

Very enjoyable set of pics. I didn't have honeysuckle in my childhood, but my daughters did. There was a humongous bush in our yard and the kids really enjoyed it. Of course the kids now are forty to fifty years old.

Thank you for looking, suci - glad you enjoyed! I wonder if today's kids even know what honeysuckle is; I'll have to check with the grandkids.
