Anyone else getting a little tired of seeing flowers, birds and bugs? Try, Cambridge in Color, 23 and Fstoppers. All good photography sites.
When I fist found this site I liked it. It has lost some of it's appeal.
The cliques. The repetitive, what camera or lens should I buy, the I am not bragging but, I am going to Iceland what camera gear should I pack. Has become somewhat tiresome for me.
I have been deleted twice for bulling. When I posted,that there are members who try to tell others they have put their images in the wrong section. Honestly, other than a few jerks who cares?
And here is the kicker, the Attic. A section for pure hatred, that has no place on a photography site.
I will still stop by once in awhile to up offer my opinions and probably be deleted some more.

While I enjoy UHH, there was a time when the existence of the Attic drove me away; it is why UHH will never be in the top 10 of Photography discussion sites. But, repetitiveness aside, this is a big community of a diverse bunch of photographers of all levels of experience and, yes, opinion.
Now, if the system admin could only eliminate the Attic.

I'm OK with Flowers (what I very often shoot myself), and Insects. But the rest is valid gripes to me. There are so many UHH'ers experienced with Icelandic photography. Waiting for the Mars trip questions. Too much Canon vs Nikon; anti- Pentax, Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic, etc, Did I mention too much Nikon vs Canon? Not to mention what is Leica. I've heard of the Attic. Sounds like a place for Sith photographers! And the constant moving images, posts, and links sent to places where no one will find them.
One suggestion to ADMIN, after the first two pages of posts, the remaining should be in reverse order so newest replies might actually be read.

Just wondering....does Admin ever actually read the comments posted as regards our complaints or suggestions? And if they do, do they ever take action on them?

To each his own reading preference. Yes,
there is a lot of repetition but I go on to the
next item of more interest. Being retired
with a livable income but not enough to
take a lot of photo trips, many of the questions about various places are of interest because it helps to decide whether
I will add a place to a list of where I am
willing to spend the $ needed to go and if
have been there I enjoy sharing what I may know about it. I never read attic so
therefore it doesn't bother me. Ted Evans

The Attic serves its purpose. It's a dustbin for threads that don't belong in the mainstream. People can go there to blow off steam. It's easy to avoid.
We probably could use another section for the "waiting for brown truck, I just pulled the trigger, I am traveling to xxx exotic location, I just read somewhere about yyy camera and it's the best ever, etc." threads.
