Thank you. We put on funhorse shows and i normally wouldnt offer to print a pic but i impressed myself so i cant leave those others out from the group as i know they will get distibuted to the right parties. Mostly they just get posted on the shows facebook page and the people are realizing they are there so i tell them they can have what they can screen shot or whatever.

I often make prints for my 85 year old mom. I have found CVS, Walgreens do a better job. And the machine gives you a true picture of what you get.

Have been taking pics at the fun horse show. Got a couple pretty nice ones and would like to have them printed and to send to the rider. Using a d7200. What size can i print before the quality of rhe pic starts to go away. Havent done this before just keep all my pics for myself. I will have to go to walmart or whatever to get the prints. Thanks for any help

I can print 8x10 photos at home, for larger I use Adoramapix. They do a great job and prices are reasonable. They are located in New York City, so unless you order at a peak time, turn around time should be short. I live in Vermont and shipping is 2 days. The timing is related to where the UPS transfer depots are located on the route!

Here is a suggestion: upload your photos to Adoramapix's website, and go through the ordering process, even if you do not complete it! This is where they offer their options of paper and crop size. The great thing is, when you review the images, the site will tell you the quality of your image and what sizes it will or will not print! Give it a try.

First thing to know, your digital sized prints do not fit the standard 8 x 10 or 5 x 7 model. They will fit into a 4 x 6 print at full size. Digital images are usually 3:2 or 2:3, however you see it. So, they are longer than wide, not anywhere near a square but more of a rectangle. In your camera booklet there will be a page that says how big the file images are at each of the different possible settings. The file image size stated will be the 1:1 ratio for printing the absolute best image, at least according to the camera manufacturer. If you end up wanting, say, an 8 x 10, you should crop the photo to that size prior to sending it to a printer. If you do not and you send it to, say, Costco, they will decide where to crop it and the machine really won't know what your intent was and you will not be happy if your horse has no head! If you go to a professional print house, say, Bay Photo, their software will allow you to crop the photo prior to sending it to them. Try to stay somewhere around what your camera manufacturer says in order to get the best quality print, although there are ways to get much larger prints that are of a good quality. In general, most digital cameras can provide you with a print around 8 x 12 or 10 x 15 or even 12 x 18 and if the image taken was quality then the print made will be quality as well.

I've been able to print 13" x 19" from my D7100. (I print my own, so have a fair bit of control.... printer is Canon Pro 100).

30x20 inches is not unreasonable...
