While on the Chobe river between Namibia and Botswana we witnessed an extremely rare event: two Yellow-billed storks who at first appeared to be dancing a courtship tango. But all of a sudden things changed. (BTW, I give credit to my D500 which was in full 10fps mode and kept perfect focus.)
First we saw this male doing a solo dance

A second stork flew in and they appeared to start doing a tango
Complete with some throws ala ice dancing
Eventually the dance came to a magnificent crescendo
But wait - there's discord between the "dancers"
Turns out it is two males who end up in a mutual choke-hold. When they eventually broke up, both seemed to be seriously injured, stumbling off in different directions.

I didn't have time to be amazed during the moment. But afterwards couldn't believe what we had just seen.

I was a second to late or too early and missed the foot around the neck--glad you got it!

Didn't you hear me humming? What do you mean a second late - doesn't that Sony shoot at like 20 frames a second?
