You can not imagine the transformation. This WAS the kids' bathroom and was greatly abused. Now, if I can just keep them from boomeranging.

LOL Good luck with that, Sherry.

Thanks, Donna.
I can't believe I am about to share a picture of my bathroom - but I am! Really grainy, because the light is low and I'm too lazy to dig out my flash and learn to use it for these shots. Besides, it'll never look like this again after I let people start using it.

Thanks for sharing. Outstanding decor and Orchids. Picture perfect bathroom

And thank you again, Stan. The secret to a "picture perfect bathroom" (love that compliment) is to NEVER USE IT.

Shot with a wide angle lens, with light coming in from the window behind and above. These are the first orchids I have ever had the courage to buy. After bringing them home and placing them in a newly remodeled bathroom, I became so smitten with them that they influenced me to totally change the color scheme from what had been planned. So, I sure hope I can keep them alive!

Sherry, The photos sure show off their beauty.

Like the spa touches-towel folds. Really nice job on remodel, colors, theme. I have been so tempted to buy an orchid but don't know if I have a spot that one will like. My granddaughter has one over her kitchen sink on a ledge and it gets more light than I think one should but it has bloomed a second time just beautifully.

Thank you, Angela. I've put ice cubes on them twice. But the other two waterings (on Sundays) are like you said. This morning, I did get out the ice cubes and had them ready to drop - couldn't do it. I said, "These things are COLD. They can't really be good for these naked roots!" I think I read that you should use distilled water which I haven't yet gotten. So sorry yours didn't bloom again and I hope I don't have to say the same. But, if the blooms really do stay pretty as long as they say they will, I may just have to buy a series of them. Maybe I can set up a GoFundMe page.
Thank you, Angela. I've put ice cubes on them twic... (show quote)

Sherry, I never heard of using the distilled water, I'm going to look that up... the leaves are still beautiful and very healthy on my three.. but no flowers yet, but I'll wait it out and hopefully one day be really surprised!!
I know they are addicting, but I have too many other plants to buy any more orchids...

....love your bathroom!!!!!

Thank you, Greg. All the blooms but one were open when I bought the plants, so I don't know how much longer to expect them to survive. I hope they are in their childhood!

Thank you for looking and commenting, CSand. This type of orchid is commonly known as a moth orchid and is supposed to be very easy to grow - I hope so! And thank you so much for noticing the "spa touches" - it is the type of thing that makes Hubby just want to retch. men. (Actually, Hubby likes "foo-foo", but chooses to project a different image - maybe because he knows our bank account can't afford for me to have any encouragement.)
