Hi-
Just got an email from crash plan that they are doing away with the version of backup I use. Can chose to stay with them as a small business at a lot higher rate or find something else by March 2018. Anyone out there have any suggestions or opinions on best cloud backups?
Thanks in advance.

The recent topic
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-480993-1.html covers Crashplan and several suggestions.
I was ready to look for an alternative myself, but after considering how long it would take to re-upload my data and be able to continue to backup from my external drives with no added cost/hassle I decided to stick with Crashplan and migrate to the small business plan - happily, I got a 75% discount for a year and the remaining time on my subscription free, so I am covered now till March 2019 at a cost of $2.50 per month, after 2019, I am charged $10.00 per month.
Migration was quick and easy, new client installed automatically.
No issues.
I use backblaze. No issues
Backblaze, even backs up an extra external hard drive or 2..
I had Crashplan and decided to try iDrive. They have a Crashplan user incentive right now -- 5TB for $6.95 for the 1st year and $69 per year after that. Unlimited drives and computers --you just pay or the cloud space. Not the fastest at initial seeding, but thought I'd give it a try.
I have used IDrive for all backup for a few years now.
It only costs $60.00/year for a terrabyte of space and I can backup all of our PCs.
I tell it what to back up, start it and forget it.
On the few occasions that I needed to restore a file it was quick and easy.
Used to use Carbonite but it was a real resource hog.

I have used Carbonite forever. Flawless product with great support. All of the support staff is in the U.S.,
you can understand what they are saying, and you never wait more than 2 minutes to talk to them. >Alan
