I would have loved to have seen the original shot. In most cases, more is too much. To each his own! Cheers!

I prefer your first version, but I also see many, many images processed like the second one, so . . . .

Thanks for looking and your comments. I am not a big fanatic oversaturated pictures but sometimes it happens.

My preference is the first one, but I'd put a bit of contrast to it.

There is no harm in tinkering. I do the same with my presets in Lightroom.

In my opinion a photo is overdone when the colors look unrealistic. The secret is to have as much color in the photo as possible but have it look like it hasn't been enhanced.

I agree. The images do not look natural.

I go very slightly beyond the first one but not as far as the second.

I agree with Jerry. The bottom line is... what are you trying to achieve and are you happy with the result.

That's a nice shot. Not sure what program you are using, but in Lightroom I would increase the whites and lower the blacks. It doesn't really increase color saturation but gives a broader spectrum. But I tend to like some blacks in many of my photos.

I think the second one is a little over done, MMC. Your first shot is beautiful! I can't wait 'til we're seeing these leaves!

The first image is by far the better image. The second image is way over saturated......
