I PP 1-st picture and I am not sure if I overdone it or not. What do you think?

Yes, a bit. The original colors are nice and mostly needed a bit of lightening (though not much) and contrast.

As I am sure you know the rendition of colors is a subjective matter. I like pastel colors but many others like vivid and saturated colors.

The first pic (top one) looks OK to me but the second one is way over done..colours are nowhere near to being natural...
