Alaska Wildlife Highlights from our cruise

We flew to Anchorage then spent about 12 days driving and taking the train to various parts of Alaska. I got a few decent wildlife pics, most were not so good. Lots of fairly good landscape photos. A couple pics I took on a bright sunny day don't even look real.
I encourage people to visit, great spot during the summer. Don't think they will see me during the long winter.

It's not as bad in the winter if you are prepared! Class 4 thermal underwear; 2 pair of wool socks; Good coat; and most important, HOT HANDS between your socks, on the bottom of your feet!
We discovered this fact in January/February of this year. The AURORA is very beautiful, as is the rest of Alaska... in the winter! Saw a few moose, snow bunnies, caribou, wood bison.

Thank You Tinkwmobile, we flew in a day early and decided if we do Anchorage again we'll allow more time there. Many of the people staying at the hotel had come in off or were going to a train, that's on our list too. I completely understand not being there during winter.

The Aurora is definitely on our list also.
