Excellent photos, enjoyed them all!!! Brings back great memories.

At times, I think I would like to take a cruise to Alaska. However, having driven there twice, I probably could NEVER take a cruise ship there, lol. I have all of those wonder memories of all the places we visited that cruisers don't get to visit, plus getting to stop when, and almost wherever we wish (to take photo's, of course). And I might note, all the many, many places I still want to visit there (and revisit), that remain to be discovered, at least that is by me. For me, driving is the way to go....

Thank You DougS. We've never driven, we have wanted to , as I'm certain it's the only way we'll truly see and experience Alaska. Thank You for pointing that out. Right now my wife's work is such that she cannot be away more than 1 week at a time, but when she retires it's something we'll definitely do.

Doug, you should check out some of the small ship cruises. They are much more wildlife and nature oriented and the one we were on stopped at any sighting of wildlife - sometimes spending up to two hours sitting and watching whales. Plus we went ashore for hiking and photography twice a day. Alaska Dream Cruises is locally owned in Sitka and one of the best.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread, OP. I'm really jealous of your great Lynx photo.

Thank You GregWCIL, more good information, I had researched the small ship cruise 6 or 7 years ago but had forgotten about them. I'll share another lynx picture as a Thank You to all for viewing and commenting.

That Lynz photo is so cool. Where did you run across him? I've never seen one in my life.

Our excursion on the cruise stop in Skagway was the Kroschel Wildlife Center on Haines, the lynx shots came from there. It's well worth the visit.
