Balmoral Castle is the summer holiday home for the Queen and Royal family. We were lucky a couple of weeks ago, we got in just 2 days before it closed for the Queens arrival last week.

Thanks John, The flag is the Scottish Rampant Lion, which is replaced with the Royal Standard when the Queen is in residence.
