There has been some detrimental behavior by some members here in tainting another members for sale ad. This is a behavior exclusive to this site alone.

Be advised, effective immediately, I will be showing the entire membership when I see a member trespassing another member's for sale listing.

If you are not interested in making a purchase of a listed item, keep your self away from the ad. Serious buyers can use the personal message feature. Unsolicited opinions are not welcome to the posting member.

This occasionally happens and I can appreciate that it would be of particular interest for those that are on the site with buying/selling as their main reason for being here. Admin alone can certainly invoke and enforce any rules they desire. If this is a common problem, hopefully they will address it.

As a member who has posted items for sale, I wholeheartedly agree regarding unsolicited negative or irrelevant opinions, however I sometimes chime in with a positive opinion which IMO doesn't hurt anyone and may actually increase the likelihood of a sale. My ads encourage interested parties to use the PM feature to inquire about items, to facilitate communication or to discuss transaction details. /Ralph

I have seen a lot of items come for sale, you have to pay to take them, But I not going to trash someone or the item. This is for buying and selling items. Let the market forces tell us how good or bad something is.

Nobody claims to be a sheriff, but one has certainly the right to speak/or ask of information missing in a sale. Sure, nobody wants to hinder a sale, but people thinking of spending money on that, do also have the right of knowing everything about said item to what they may/or may not agree to lay down their hard earned bucks!! The door has to swing both ways!!!

Guess you missed my meaning that we don't need someone giving us permission to ask for info, so obviously I am in agreement with you.

You probably didn't notice but when I have an item for sale, it's always at the going rate, but when I am looking for an item to buy, I always think it should be HALF the going rate!!!

So you think it's important that if folks aren't actively engaged in buying an item then they should butt out...hahaha...how about you taking your own advice then?

I will say this...THIS sort of "sheriff" thing is exclusive to the 'hog (in my experience)

If nothing else, the 'hog is good for at least one eye-roll a day. :)

It makes me value the good members that much more when I see this sort of hogwash.
