Welcome. I would say "...stick with Nikon..." (while the bank account allows it. It started with Sigma and have used one Tamron zoom both were adequate but they have been replaced with Nikon as I could afford them. If you aren't going for big enlargements the Sigmas and Tamrons are OK.

Welcome to UHH oburgess, glad you joined us. I also shoot Nikon. Presently the D7200 and D7100. I like to try and stay with Nikkor glass when possible.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Greetings!
I just signed up to this forum. I look forward to learning new ideas and perhaps sharing what I have discovered. My gear is a Nikon D7500 dslr with several Nikon lenses, both prime and zoom. The camera is a new addition that I am now using after a couple years of the D7200. So far I really like it. My first question is should I stay with Nikon lenses or is there quality third party lenses to consider. Thanks and look forward to any ideas and suggestions.

Personally I would stay with Nikon with the exception of ones they don't make for example the Sigma or Tamron G2 150-600mm which I would like for birding and wildlife. The 200-500 Nikon just doesn't have quite the reach especially since I shoot FF. I still shoot with a few old AI primes 28mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8, 105mm f4Micro, 80-200 f4.5 one touch, and 300mm f4.5. Other zooms are the 24-120 F4 VR and 70-300 f4-5.6 D ED. If I was to get a crop sensor today it would be a D7200.
