This is the silliest discussion, I hate Adobe because they charge me for the latest software which is used by 90% of the professional world and has been heralded as state of the art by the photographic press. To then argue that the free or low cost offerings are technically superior is rediculous. If you don't want to pay adobe, or stick with an older version, that is a personal economic and artistic decision. But to argue that the low cost software is superior is silly. Personnaly, for the cost of a latte a month, I will stick with the industry leader.

If you're going to argue that the "industry leader" is superior to alternatives then back it up with WHY? Otherwise you're just expressing your opinion like the rest of us.

Industry Leader -- in most cases does not mean best (the term "best" or "better" is subjective anyway, as different people have different needs and wants) -- Take McDonalds they are the #1 fast food burger vendor. Are their burgers the best because they are the industry leader? I can come up with example after example that shows this.

Also -- if you think this is a silly discussion, just stop watching this channel. No one is forcing you to read this thread.

My silly opinion is that why pay $10 a month when their are perfectly good alternatives, especially if you are an "enthusiast". Personally I'd rather have an extra two latte's a month and use a perfectly good alternative.
