Yes. The B-58 is in building 3. The new building is on the far side of the missile gallery. There is also a new eating facility on the 2nd floor of the missile gallery. The new building houses all the exhibits that you had to ride the bus to see. Check out the museum at http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/

Thanks Nick. Took a quick look on my phone, but will fire up the 'puter later today. Really going to have to plan a trip soon.
Thanks,
Bill

If you haven't been in even 3 years, you'll be surprised at the changes. I try to go at least twice a year and more often if I can. I'm attaching a shot taken from the 2nd floor balcony looking toward the Space Gallery.

Thanks again Nick:
The XB-70 never looked better! You didn't take that image on Auto Mode. Full manual? I'm amazed at the hoggers that don't understand the extreme conditions we shoot under in museum and in bright outside sun. Building 4 looks to be darker than building 3.

I'm at the Dr office for a check up now. I will look at this photo and the link you sent on the computer tonight.
Thanks,
Bill

Looks good the way it is. I long resisted digital, stubbornly clinging to my Nikon F3, and my Calumet 4X5 and my darkroom. After a steep learning curve, lots of criticism and a few classes, I have embraced digital and am continually amazed at the capabilities of modern digital cameras. I use the same method, take one, look at it, adjust and do another. With a bit of practice, one can tell on that tiny screen what will look good on a large screen or print. Most of the time, all the post processing I do is B&W conversion. Keep practicing as I will!

Just curious, do you do portrait photography? I have looked at your posted photo several times. You seem to have the gift for it. Kind of like the Mona Lisa, you captured a haunting emotion.

If you have a camera/camera's with in camera HDR, It will give you a wonderful picture, using a tri-pod of course. I live minutes from the museum and have had the opportunity to make every mistake possible and over the years I have managed to learn a few lessons and come away with some very acceptable images.
Here is a sample of that process!

I just downloaded your photo. WOW! What detail. May I ask what camera/lens and settings you used? You've just given me a target level to shoot for.

It was my Nikon D610, with an 85mm f1.8 at 1/400 of a second at f2.8, ISO100. Taken just before sunset in the back yard. Glad you liked it.

Oh, and the only post processing was a B&W conversion.

This is my first attempt at posting a photo. I have seen many first attempts fail, soooo........

This is a photo I took at Dayton Air Force Base Museum in Ohio. Everything in the new third hanger is FLAT BLACK. The walls, ceiling, structure, except the floor, it is semi-gloss BLACK. Most if the lighting is provided by 1000+ watt lights in the ceiling pointing straight down on the middle of each plane. Auto Mode was only good for overexposures. I tried Program, Tv, Av, and ended in Manual. Read the meter, change a setting, take a picture, and chimp. Step out of other peoples road, think about my image, and repeat the process. Eventually a complete airplane would pop. The meter would be way off the scale, but that's what high powered spotlights do.
This is my first attempt at posting a photo. I ha... (show quote)

Thanks. Keep at it, I have been doing it since the early 1980's and I think I am approaching my 10,000th shot and finally getting some good ones.
