I had the same issue when I ordered my Canon 7D MKII with the kit lens and ordered a Hoya UV filter for the lens. The filter was not included in the package. I called CS and they stated it should have been shipped with the camera. I assured the representative it was not and he apologized profusely and said the filter would be shipped that day. Two days later I had filter in hand as they shipped it USPS Priority and I couldn't have been happier. Their Customer Service is most excellent and second to none. Mistakes happen, it's a fact of life, and considering the number of orders they ship daily this is bound to happen. As for Kmgw9v & DaveO, just visit the 'attic' forum and it will tell you all you need to know about those dudes!

Pot...kettle, so your posts can be checked out as well. What you don't know is that I also have exchanged numerous pleasant PM's with several of the folks I banter with. The Attic demeanor is entertainment for some of us and you're correct that such behavior does not belong here.

Unfortunately, the remark "I'm so sorry to have offended your rather delicate sensibilities. LouV" set me off because I feel that supposedly innocent threads can unnecessarily damage a vendors reputation and Lou apparently doesn't believe it happens. Similar to damaging reputation with a news comment regarding one as "a person of interest" that later turned out to be off base. For some, the stigma remains.

The fact that I posted "disgusting" was obviously my opinion and I over reacted to the reply.

Enough.

Thanks, Jake. I wasn't aware of the Attic. Now I'm intrigued and will have to check it out.

It is indeed amusing.

Lou,

As other members have mentioned there could be several reasons for this happening in addition to this being an oversight. Our Customer Service Dept. will reopen in an hour or two and I suggest calling them immediately and have your Order Number at hand. If all else fails, please send your issue with order number to henryp@bhphoto.com explaining your shipment problem. In any event, please keep us in the loop and let us know if i was resolved to your satisfaction. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best wishes to all for a magnificent weekend.

I only recently began buying from B&H. I placed 2 orders in the last week, both containing 2 items. The first arrived and was fine. But the second arrived with only one of the two items in the package despite the fact that the packing slip indicated both were included.

I recognize that mistakes happen and know they are a reputable shop. I have no doubt they will take care of it (today is Saturday so I can't get in touch with them) and I'm not trashing them. But, I must confess that this happening on only my second order with them is a bit discouraging.

Just curious to hear from others who use them whether or not my experience is a very rare exception.

Thanks.

I have ordered multiple items at once from B&H and have received one package with an item and packing list stating all items and then received another box the next day with the other item.....personally I think its more on the Fed-Ex or UPS or the USPS rather than B&H

I have been ordering from them for several years. Only had one small problem and they fixed it immediately. Great place and I will continue using them. B&H goes out of their way to keep their customers satisfied.

I've ordered from B and H numerous times and, in cases, numerous items at once. Never a problem.

However, if this did happen to me, the first thing I wouldn't do is write a post to this, or any other, site. I'd contact them, discuss the issue, and obtain a resolution. If I ever chose to make the situation public, I'd write about the wonderful service I was provided.

I bet the folks at B & H are not at all upset with this post. The OP could not reach the vendor. He did not trash them, but asked a reasonable question of people who were more familiar with the company. Aside from the unnecessary nasty responses directed towards Lou, most of the responses were reassuring to him and good PR for an obviously trusted vendor.

Complaining about a post that wasn't complaining about anything ... must be the new UHH hobby.

I have been with B&H since 2007, never a major issue. I have made several mistakes, returned without questions. I would not select any new vendor. Mistakes can be made when shipping from several warehouses. Have faith and go forward.

I have purchased items from them for many years, from filters to cameras, lenses and computers. I have never been disappointed. I don't recall any issues, although I know that they used to ship from New York City exclusively and now have a distribution center in New Jersey. I have purchased items from NJ as well and no issues to date. They will take care of any problem and are helpful with phone support as well. By the way, after your purchase, if you find that within 30 days of purchase they have gone down in price, they will credit you. I had that experience once, no problems.

I have been a B&H customer for 25 plus years and have always had a quick and pleasant resolution to any issue. There were only a few over those years, most of them my fault. B&H has always erred on my side in fixing anything, even when I order the wrong product. Of all the companies I deal with, in any field or service, they have the ABSOLUTE best Customer Service, bar none. Now that their CS is open, we are waiting to hear the resolution. You were quick to criticize, so please be quick to let us know the resolution.
