for a few - use the Save As, from the program,to the flash drive.
for several - use File Explorer and move them from your HD to the flash drive.
or, just follow the directions you got here http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-409445-1.html when you asked the same question.

You must perform an "Export", choosing the thumb drive as the target destination of the export.

[post deleted] you already got your answer in the previous thread where you asked the same question. What exactly are you getting stuck on?

BTW, a memory stick is NOT a good way to backup you images. You need to have something more substantial and you'll need to back up your raw files if you are taking them. A 16 gb stick will fill up quickly.

One easy way of doing this, is to put all the images you want to transfer in its own folder, and then you can just drag the folder "onto" the flash dive!

After I save them on the computer, I drag and drop to the flash drive.

Gene, would care to elaborate on your assertion that..."a memory stick is NOT a good way to backup you images"?

Bottom line is high cost per gb compared to magnetic media (but not as expensive as SSD), easy to lose, lower capacity, and probably the biggest one, long term reliability. The only plus I see is that they are pretty convenient.

I would not recommend using such a small capacity memory device in any case.

These are better used as file transfer devices or temporary backup, not as a permanent solution for longer term backup. If you've ever had one fail (I have) there is nothing worse than that sinking feeling that you just lost data.

When I travel with my laptop, I transfer all my raw and processed images to a 256G flash drive plugged into a USB 3 slot. This drive is less than $40 at Costco. I don't want to fill up my internal SSD with photos. When entering photos from my camera SD, I just save the raw files to the flash drive. In windows 10, the flash drive is just shown as another storage drive.

Not a good plan. You won't get the changes you made to the images.

One of the harder things for people to accept with Lightroom is that once you are using Lightroom you MUST use IT for all your image and folder operations.

In this case you should export.

Thanks. I really appreciate your response. I use external hard drives from Western Digital and only use thumb drives when I want to view images through the USB connection on my TV.
