Had the same problem. Here was my magic answer.. a used HP Z-200 desktop from ebay. Running intel i7 870 processor at 2.93Ghz with 8GB RAM, Windows 10 64 bit pro, ATI Firepro V4800 (FireGL) video card with 2GB RAM, 1TB hard drive running at 7200 RPM, total price, with shipping $231.21. Replaced the existing 8GB of RAM with two new Kingston 8GB 1600MHz PC3-12800 Memory modules for $95.74 with shipping from Amazon. Grand total $326.95. I used my existing HP mouse, keyboard and 20" Viewsonic monitor.
I did a lot of research before looking for and selecting this model. For fast video, an i7 intel processor is best, along with a separate video card with at least 2GB of video RAM. This model with the i7 processor had both (the z-200 also comes in intel i3 and i5 processor models), and was a top of the line desktop selling for more than $3,000 when it came out. Unlike my previous destop, I can view 4k videos either online from youtube or video, or download them and run them on my hard drive with no lag whatsoever.

The video card is a 550Ti.....runs with power off the power supply....4 gigs ram .....cpu is 1,86 dual core...Dell xps..2 2tb hard drives 1 1tb hard drive with 1 2tb enabled....Computer has some miles on it but over time Dell has rebuilt almost every part being so easy to work with tech support. Video card is the only new addition....I think the only bottleneck that is obvious is the cpu to an i5 and maybe another 4 gigs of ram......not the time money wise.....box is old enough to spring for a new one or at least a refurb or just build one. At least saving all those pennies for a couple of years got me the 1000......thank you everyone you are a pleasure to chat with.....wish you had the magic answer
