I seem to fit more odd incidents shooting outdoors on location than in studio.

I remember an incident when I assisted another photographer at an outdoor "nude in nature" shoot. the model… Nude… almost laid down on a rattlesnake, but no harm was done. The Sidewinder was courteous enough to warn us away with a little rattle, so no one got snake bit. the location was a few miles east of Lancaster California, among the Joshua trees of the high desert.

I had a few other bizarre or startling experiences when shooting nudes or helping other people shoot nudes.

I'm curious: what are your most memorable anecdotes about shoots with the fairer sex? please share.

I attended a nude outdoor photo shoot with six female models last year during the summer. Nothing bizarre happened. The person who owns the farm has a small man-made pond that the models went into. The models remarked that the water was a little chilly and took getting used to. The models started out with clothing on and went nude later. Here is one of the photos.

I feel a nicely done tattoo adds to a models beauty, in a similar way that makeup does, though some can be distracting!!

I don't recall ever having a weird experience with nudes, but I recently had a kinda weird one shooting clothed.
This is one of my favorite models, we've worked together about ten times so we know each other pretty well. I'm always surprised at her conservativeness and quietness since she's a Rapper and her shows are pretty raucous with a fair amount of profanity thrown in!
Recently she wanted to do a shoot at the tracks. So we went to an area that has old dilapidated buildings along the tracks. We started shooting and I explained that being on the tracks themselves was actually illegal. She asked if she could be arrested, I said probably not but it was a possibility we'd get kicked out(the dilapidated buildings were NOT track property).
I very short while later she went to her car, which I found unusual. So I set about moving my light. A minute later she had not returned and I noticed her car was gone!!! LoL
So I walked out and could see her car parked about a quarter mile down the street. She sent me a text that she'd gotten spooked and had to leave!!! LoL
So we went to location #2!
