That is a very cool capture and it looks like it is a cabbage at it's best!
So glad you enjoyed this,Carol! I love "cool capture"! Funny, I was remembering it as some kind of purple lettuce mostly because I don not really care for cabbage and seldom buy it. But then, I have been known to frequently buy produce solely for it's photographic use.

Good one Carlysue.
Thank you,Angler! I appreciate you saying that! You've been on my mind as of late, thinking of Matthew, hoping there is recovery.

Yes. I love this color combination. We can call it the Wimbledon Effect!
Hilarious,Ralph! You know, I had never even given the Wimbledon logo colors a thought before this! Now I won't forget this tad of enlightening info!
Thank you so much for looking in, leaving a comment, and giving me a smile!

Why not, and, it doesn't put weight on either.

Good thinking,Pierre! Maybe I can devise a diet around this and write a book...of course, it would only be this plus eggplant, grapes and plums. And maybe I can be convinced that wine is really purple?

Aw Shucks.
You're so welcome. I'm full of a lot of useless information.
Happy Imaging!

You're several steps ahead, Carla. I just saw an article about using a cut purple cabbage as a photo subject. Your work always reflects your creative talent. Just beautiful!!!
HUH! Who knew I'd ever be on the forefront...the cutting edge of anything! I thought for certain this was lettuce but then, there's a good chance I never ate it. I've been known to find lots of photographic subjects in the produce department--kiwi, okra, eggplant.
Thank you so much, as always, for your encouragement.

And beautiful purples they are...good one!!
thank you so much, rlaugh. I've also found some blue stuff growing in that refrigerator. Just a plethora of good subjects and I don't even have to get out of my jammies!
thank you, DOOK! And I appreciate those smilies! Actually I had a few of your tunes playing in the background while I did the post work on this. Keeps me calm so I can carry on!

Beaut shot Carlysue...
I appreciate your encouragement,Ron. Thank you. AND,I admire how you keep on keeping on, not letting your chronic pain keep you from the enjoyment of travel and photography.
Thanks,my friend, got a bit of a smile from you! Glad you enjoyed.
Pretty lines and colors! Very nice.

One gets tired of "greens" so I'll have some "purples".
Excellent image Carla. Love all the detail.
Wow Carly Sue. I never would have thought to take a picture like that. It shows how we all see things so differently. That's why this group is so cool. Everyone gets to share their vision with so many others. Some will see what you see others won't. Fine work.

A nice minimalistic image and effective use of texture and colour. And you get to eat the props too Carla
