These are beautiful Rowedean. I think the second is my favorite. The composition is pleasing with the tree and green field and the mountains so impressive in the background. Did you say "cold"? Wish I could have a bit of that!

Hey, thanks Carol. The scene from the second is a place I've been wanting to stop for a long time. You know how it goes, intentions don't always work out. This time it was the right time of day and light was on the mountains - so we stopped. Glad I did. And I loved the colored pickup in the meadow. One time I went by and there were horses in the meadow, going to watch for that next time.

Oh, good. We drove over Saturday and coming up 24 to Woodland Park, the Peak was beautiful. Can't beat fresh snow. It was a beautiful day. I'm going up to Crested Butte today just to look around, of course always carry a camera.

We have a cabin just above FairPlay. Lots of snow this year, finally. South Park is located right at 10,000 ft in altitude, dead smack in the center of the state, gets very little snow, but is extremely windy. If it does snow and coupled with the wind, it can be one of the most treacherous places to drive in the state. It is not uncommon for the highway to be shut down due to the dangerous situation.
