Jan Welcome. Nor-Idaho is great and you have mention many places that are great Pho-Op's. I have lived in the corners area of S. E. Idaho, (Fremont, Madison, Teton, Counties) and now live in Pocatello. I love YP/GT Parks and the Tetons. I do most of my photography on the Eastern side of the Rockies and the upper drainage of the Henrys, Teton and Snake Rivers. The Ghost Ranch you are talking about is in N. M. Great country there.

Oh yes!! The spots you mention make my mouth water, photographically speaking. The Hamilton, MT, area is beautiful, too, during the fall season for changing leaves. Do you get up over Lolo Pass much? There's a great FS station ta has rustic cabins for rent, fun place to stay. I think it may be Powell or Lochsa RS, can't remember which.
Yellowstone is a paradise, I'd love to visit again in RV. I was riding a motorcycle thru the last time, and light on camera gear. Same with Glacier Park, needs a slow drive and lots of stops for picture taking. I could have spent an hour just on the hoary marmots at the top of mountain pass on Road to the Sun. They're very bold and used to people. If you go the right time of year, wildflowers are all over, too. It's a must-see trek for anyone who loves the really BIG outdoors. Everywhere you look, there's a scenic shot just for the taking.
Yes, Ghost Ranch was Georgia O'Keeffe's last residence in New Mexico. I love her paintings of mesas and painted canyons from that area. Would love to see in person.

Thanks, I appreciate the warm welcome.
I have been to both Lolo Pass and to Hamilton Mt several times, but not often. They are four to six hours away. I do manly day trips. I am a senior with some health issues. The problem is I have some great scenic close. I have been to Mid-East and to Europe, but the hassle of extended stay is just not worth it. I am planning some over nights with my wife to YP/GT/Tetons this summer.

Dealing with some "aging" myself, I hope to get more summer RV trips organized before it gets too difficult. Enjoy while we can, eh? As saying goes, "If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself." Take care.
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
Welcome to UHH Jan. Look forward to seeing your shots.
