Nice series. Shows why some of us love living in the Texas Hill Country. Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Excellent series, the house with the bluebonnets is stunning - so glad you were there at the right time for the bluebonnets. I always seem to miss it.

I agree. As a Texan I've been to the Hill Country more than once but you photographed it much better than I ever did. Thanks, too, for finding the Bluebonnet House. Janet and I will def. look for that some spring. I'm not sure if you went through Lampasas on your way to the Hill Country on 281, but there is a good BBQ place on there where we always stop.

The flowers in pic 3 are what we always knew as buttercups.

That's interesting, because I grew up knowing the flowers in #6 as buttercups. Thanks for looking and commenting.

I don't know why it took me so long to get to your wonderful state - but it will not be my last visit. I am looking forward to exploring more of the Hill Country when I come back. Thanks for dropping in and commenting.

Thanks for your wonderful comment. I stumbled on to this house when I saw a lot of people parked along the side of Rt. 281. I was going south and the house was on my right, so was past it before I knew it and had to turn around. I can't remember if it was just south of Burnett or Marble Falls. There was some commercial construction right next to it and I am hoping that the land where the house is will not be sold and developed so that people can enjoy it for years to come.

I looked at my map and it appears that I did pass through Lampasas, but don't remember seeing any barbeque place - but then again, I was not looking for one. On my next trip, I will make time to explore the lakes and rivers west of Austin, and will get the name of the place from you.

I am glad I decided to visit in the spring. There was always something blooming in any direction I looked. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.
