I've picked mushrooms to eat all my life. I have never read or heard from others that any red mushroom is safe to eat. In fact some are extremely poisonous. Nature in general has a defense mechanism of being drab if you could be food for others and colorful if you can defend yourself. The seven common edible mushrooms are all drab in color.

I like the way you captured this with the color and blurring. I have never seen but know a Doctor of all people in New Mexico who ate a similar one and did not do so well. Don
