Always moving. Hard to get a decent shot of the bird.

800mm shot. Hand held. 25-35 feet away.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 2.0x III - 1/160 - f/8 - ISO @ 800.

What a sweet little song bird. From majestic eagles to charming small birds, your captures are so impressive, Regis!

Regis, excellent as always and I agree 100% as to being able to hear them from a mile away. Prior to getting back into photography I had very few birds on the property. Now we have at least 10 different species and then the migrating ones. Love the wake up calls in the morning. On an aside, you know I have the 1.4 TC III, going to pick up a 2.0 TC III. I really love the Canon TCs and they are wonderful on my couple of L lenses. Thank you for educating me on their use.

I sometimes marvel that the best singers are not quite as pretty. This one is certainly appealing if not what we might consider beautiful. I suspect its song makes up for lack of colorful feathers. Excellent capture Regis.
