Have you ever bought from the discount sellers on eBay? Grey market, I think. Are they real quality lenses?

No, but I did buy a lens from Amazon that had been bundled in a kit, removed, and sold separately. When I recieved it, I registered it with Nikon, so I knew it was a USA model. Saved nearly half price. If you get a lens you're not sure of, contact Olympus. You may be able to look it up on the Inetnet as well, and check by the serial number. Just be careful.

Another great place to get M4/3 lenses is from www.mu43.com. I just bought an Em5mark 2 and selling a Panasonic 7-14 f4 lens. Safest place in my book. But keh b&h and Adorama are also great to purchase from.

I hope this catches you before you leave. I just got back from Equador and the Islands (march 26th). In Quito try to get to the equator museum, it was awesome. The elevation in Quito is around 9,000 feet so drink lots of water and walk slowly. If you go to a lodge you can use a flash on the birds (helped enhance the colors). I mainly used a 100-400 lens on a crop sensor (140-560mm) on the Islands. The wildlife was use to the people but you had to stay on the trails and the reach helped. I did use a 24-105 mm on a full framed camera for some landscape shots. It did rain a few days and we got caught on an island so bring a rain coat and something to protect you backpack n camera (the old shower cap came in handy),also the pangas (dingys) had some water on the decks. Bring lots of cards, I took over 5000 pictures. If your rooms are air-conditioned on the yacht make sure you leave your camera in the dining hall so the lenses don't fog up. I was on the Solitary George and our excellent guide was Willo. The snorkling was just awesome. Enjoy your trip and post some pictures when you get back. John S.
