i'd hit a big rock. it wasn't a rock. this little frog hopped up out of the
dirt and almost caused me to jump out of my boots! he stayed right
where he was for about 15 minutes, blinked his eyes a few times,
and before I could blink he was gone.
He was waiting for you to kiss him MT - sorry you blew your chance to be a princess. LoL.

He looks a little dazed merry! Pleased he hopped away probably telling his friends about the scary lady. Love the set.
Hope he stays around, and you get more shots of him! They're fun to watch, as they defy gravity in their travels. And they sound a whole lot different than the bullfrogs we also have on our property! We have a little tree frog that scrambles up the glass on the front door each night, so long as we leave the porch light on to attract insects.

Well, all ended well anyway....a fun and enjoyable story as I sip my morning coffee and juice. I must say it brought a smile to my face. Probably not as big a smile as this little toad had after he got away.
i'm glad you enjoyed the story and that it brought a smile to your face james.
the little fellow disappeared while i wasn't looking, so i don't know if he was smiling or not. lol!
You hit that poor defenseless little toad? It's a good think it didn't croak!!!!!
[quote=Treepusher]*Whew!* I'd wondered what had become of Prince Humperdink, last seen arguing with the lovely Miss Morningstar over the resolution of his quest for revenge. He should have known better than to argue wih a dark lady...
ba
how toadly fun that the prince came to georgia to surprise me, of all people!
i'll bet that's the last time he argues with a dark lady. i haven't seen him since he disappeared,
but if i do i will attempt to get some more unfrogetable shots to send his parents. i will need
their email address of course.
thanks for the fun tp!

Really neat shots MT, I hope you've fully recovered from the event. Beneficials like this are always a welcome addition to the garden.

maybe he'll stay and visit for a while. i love having toads and frogs in the flower beds.

A fun story and photos for you, traumatic for the amphibian I'm sure. Glad it didn't end up in more than one piece
it was toadly unexpected and just made my day. ...he is the first little critter like that i've seen in the garden this spring.
i hope he wasn't injured...i stuck my spade into the dirt a second time...still thinking it was a rock. i might have whacked
him on his head and that's what caused him to stay put for several minutes. i'll be on the lookout for him. thank you for
your comment...i'm glad you enjoyed!

I wonder which of you was the most surprised, Merry.
Super shots and an always delightful account!!
it's hard to say donna...it might be a tie. i almost had a heart attack and he might have a brain injury. lol!
we both survived somehow...at least i think he did...haven't seen him since it happened.
i'm happy you enjoyed the little drama...thank you for your comment!
